Earlier, the film was titled Ek Din and was scheduled to release on November 7, 2025, but that would have led to a box-office clash. With the new announcement, Mere Raho will now release in December, avoiding any such conflict.
The story of Mere Raho is set in Japan, capturing the country’s beautiful winter landscapes. The film also highlights the famous Sparrow Snow Festival, bringing a unique cultural touch to the narrative. Most of the shooting took place there, beginning in early 2024. Although the team faced delays and difficulties due to unexpected snowfall, they worked hard to complete the shoot on time, which allowed the post-production process to go smoothly.
This marks Junaid Khan’s third acting project and his second film to release in theatres. He first appeared on OTT with Yash Raj Films’ Maharaj, which received very positive reviews, while his debut film Lapyapa received only an average response. Starring alongside Sai Pallavi, this new film is expected to be an important milestone in Junaid’s career.
