Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role, has set new records, much like the Avengers did in the global cinema universe. The film has now become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time and also one of the highest-grossing Indian films featuring a female lead. Since the story is led by a strong female character, the film has achieved extraordinary success at the Indian box office, especially in Malayalam cinema. While the film continues to dominate theatres, the makers have announced its sequel. Titled Lokah Chapter 2, the film will feature Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Backed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, a special promo has also been released, showcasing both Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas together.

In Lokah Chapter 2, a 2-minute-long video opens with Tovino Thomas’ character Michael, who is a goblin, and Dulquer’s Charlie enjoying themselves together. Michael asks Charlie why he doesn’t call him even once in 50 or 100 years. This sparks some banter between the two, as they tease each other for being boring. Later, Michael says, “This toddy is a simple treat for beings like us chathans. Not just for me, but also for my 389 brothers, who are all longtime alcoholics.”
Michael then shows Charlie the book “They Live Among Us”, which was seen in Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra, and says, “The first chapter is about her – Kalliyankattu Neeli, my girl.”
While teasing about Chapter 2, he mentions Hitler fighting Charlie, but Charlie doesn’t seem very interested in it. Michael then reveals that his brother has been released, and unlike him, he isn’t fun but extremely violent and destructive. Charlie even calls him crazy.
When Charlie refuses to help Michael, calling it a ‘family matter’ and saying he can’t get involved, Michael replies, “Bro, aren’t we all a family?” As Charlie walks away, Michael tries to shake him and says, “I know you’ll come. If not, the chathans will bring you.” The video also gives a glimpse of a new villain before ending.
Just like Lokah 1, the second part, Lokah 2, will be directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his banner, Wayfarer Films.
