Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Box Office: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor film records big drop, collects Rs 3 crore on first Monday

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari dropped by 67 percent on its first Monday, bringing in approximately Rs 3 crore at the domestic box office. Despite the support of a Buy-One-Get-One offer, the film’s hold remained weak — hinting that, without the offer, it might have crashed entirely. The total earnings so far stand at Rs 33.75 crore, with Day 1’s Rs 9.25 crore still being its best figure.

A sharp decline was on the cards for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, given its lacklustre weekend performance and absence of growth over Saturday and Sunday. Despite the BOGO offer fueling mild optimism, the numbers make it evident that the film’s theatrical run is nearing its limit. The only breather for the makers is the empty release slate until Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat arrive. Still, Kantara: Chapter 1 remains the biggest obstacle, commanding audience attention.
The team now looks forward to a rise on the discounted Tuesday, which could help slightly. The first-week total is expected to hover between Rs 37 crore and Rs 39 crore, while the final domestic lifetime is predicted around Rs 50 crore.

As reported by Sacnilk, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opened with ₹9.25 crore net in India on Day 1. The film’s gross domestic figure was ₹11.10 crore, while it collected ₹2 crore from international territories, bringing its global total to ₹13.10 crore. Its first-day numbers also surpassed those of recent rom-coms such as Param Sundari (₹12.70 crore) and Bhool Chuk Maaf (₹8.50 crore). Nevertheless, it remains far behind Saiyaara’s ₹29.20 crore opening.
